There’s something about this time of year, trips starting to get booked, weather warming up, that low-key thrill of “what am I wearing today” actually being a fun question for me.
Guys always say dressing well in spring and summer feels harder. Too hot for layers, too easy to fall into the shorts + tee rut.
But it doesn’t have to be that deep. This outfit is proof. It’s simple, refined, and comfortable…what else could you want in a Getup?
The kind of thing you can wear to a daytime birthday get together, grab coffee, hop on a plane, or wander a new city without feeling out of place or overdressed.
Cream, brown, taupe, warm gray…with one pop of color (the watch). It’s cohesiveness creates a sense of refinement while still being loose and comfortable. Makes it easy to swap in pieces or layer up as needed.
Knit Polo
A tee is easy. This is better. The knit texture gives it shape and weight without being heavy. Feels like something you’d wear on vacation in Italy, but works just as well running errands or hitting brunch. The cream shade keeps everything neutral and easy to mix.

Straight Fit Chinos
Straight leg. Flat front. No logos or stretch panels pretending to be design. These feel like what chinos should be: clean, tailored, but relaxed. The color adds just enough contrast to lighter tops without shouting.

Birkenstock Bostons – Taupe Suede
A divisive pick if you’re thinking with your 2012 brain. But if you know, you know. These are comfy, cool, and way more versatile than they get credit for. My favorite alt to traditional sandals. The suede makes them feel elevated. I did a full deep dive on these with more ways to wear them here.
